About the Event
Join us for Gentle Yoga where we allow for self-exploration in this heart centered practice, while meeting ourselves just where we are in the present moment. Whatever your skill level, you will find comfort knowing this class incorporates simple sequences. The sequences will warm up the body while focusing on breath and movements that encourage alignment, balance and heart centered awareness. Each class will end with an extended period of relaxation to ease your senses and your mind.
Please bring your own yoga mat, blocks (optional) and blanket.
About your instructor...
Meet Kara Shields!
In 1997, I became a public high school teacher, AND also began my yoga journey. I refined my yoga studies at several studios in Union County throughout the years. Finally in 2021, I completed my own 200 hour yoga and Social Emotional Learning & Mindfulness Certifications, through Breathe for Change.
In my classes, I try to impart the knowledge that everyone can learn something new during each practice, and poses can always be modified to fit any body. Together, we will explore breath, alignment, balance, self-acceptance and heart opening practices. My hope is that you leave our class together feeling a sense of peace and wellness.
